Not to dread up an old Thread. But Amnet/Amcom have always been my Go-to-Guys for ISP. Ive had a few friends work for them, Their speeds have always been great, Data allowance competitive, and price has always been slightly cheaper than most. While on the Flipside, they are NOT industry leaders, often Slow to update plans match other ISP, they seem to be very limited in where they offer their service. EG they are an NBN provider but only around Applecross area in WA eventho they should be available in say Baldivis.
Ive found their customer support very helpful, knowledgeable (tho often i have to get transferred to level 2 Techs). I basically recommend them to most friends. This has/is now going to change. why?
Slow industry Adaption. Eg NBN service, offering of plans much later than the competition, willing to crumble to government policy and not stand up. Which brings up a great point about "Can ISPs still be ethical?"
SkyMesh are sound more interesting from the Whirlpool feedback.
