My current Billion 7404VNOX is dying and I'm "researching" what is available.
Right now, I'm going down the separate modem and wireless router path.
My first choice is the TP-Link Archer D9 modem/router, but, it doesn't support VDSL, not good if we are going to end up with the Abbott FTTN NBN.
I'm considering the Archer C9 wireless router because of it's reputed excellent RF section and good signal coverage. I also like the range of TP-Link's signal extending accessories if needed. Unfortunately it doesn't support QoS or VOIP, something my old Billion does.
The modem will be a Draytek Vigor 130, a straight, simple modem with gigabit ports and VDSL capability.
At least with this setup I will be able to choose any pure wireless router.
