I've been looking at laptops and so on lately as my poor Lenovo T530 is starting to get a bit old (I've worn a good portion of the touchpad down as well as a lot of the keys). Not many of them have really appealed to me, but the Surface Book does look really nice (clickpad aside - give me real buttons damnit). The only real thing that I see preventing mass adoption of it here will be the price, especially given the current USD vs. AUD issues that we have. It will not be cheap at all.
edit: just checked the Microsoft Store, prices are with price comparison to USD plus GST:
i5, 128GB SSD, 8GB RAM, no dGPU: $2299 (+$33 over USD)
i5, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, dGPU: $2949 (+$77 over USD)
i7, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, dGPU: $4199 (+$117 over USD)
So we're not getting gouged too badly on prices this time, but they're still pretty pricy
